Internationales Homöopathiekolleg Torgau e.V.
(Torgau International College of Homeopathy Registered Association)
Welcome.
The Internationale Homöopathiekolleg Torgau (Torgau International College of Homeopathy) was founded on 30th August 2003 and registered as a non profit association on 6th October. On 4th October 2007, after renovation and restoration, the house of the founder of homeopathy, Dr. Samuel Hahnemann, where he wrote the "Organon der Heilkunst" (Treatise on the Art of Healing), was handed over by the City of Torgau into the sponsorship of the Internationales Homöopathiekollegs Torgau e.V.
The ceremonial handing over of the house on 5th October 2007 was followed days later by its dedication by the first Open Day, with guided tours through the house and speeches about its history and about homeopathy in particular, with the opportunity for information exchanges and personal introductions. Highlights were the speeches by Prof. Dr. Dinges on the History of Homeopathy and Ravi Roy entitled "Homeopathy - A Journey From Saxony To India And Back", which concentrated especially on the spiritual mindset within the worldwide homeopathic community.
Educational and Research operations have now been accommodated in the house. It is planned to transfer the facilities into a Foundation, to permanently anchor the non profit goal. Further information about Hahnemann's House ...
The educational operations at the Torgau International Homeopathy College began on 12th September 2003 with the first 3-year training course for classical homeopathists. It is the first, together with further educational facilities which have in the meantime arisen in the Eastern Federal States, to work according to the countrywide standardised criteria of the Stiftung Homöopathie-Zertifikat (SHZ) or Foundation Homeopathy Certificate, SHZ-accredited learning facilities, that are recognised as worthy of funding for career development by the Labour Agency. For example, under "Training" you will find current offers for seminars. The Internationale Homöopathiekolleg Torgau e.V. was thereby established in the Hahnemann-House.
